Lead DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team as we strive to adopt best practices and a culture of continuous improvement. As a key member of our team, you will lead a group of 5-7 DevOps engineers and play a crucial role in driving the success of our organization.

In addition, you will engage with cross-functional teams in the design, development, and implementation of enterprise scalable features related to enabling higher developer productivity, environment monitoring, and self-healing, and facilitate autonomous delivery teams

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of DevOps engineers, providing technical guidance and mentorship as needed
  • Collaborate with top management to align organizational goals with DevOps strategies and initiatives
  • Implement and maintain infrastructure using configuration management tools such as ansible, Terraform, and Packer
  • Communicate effectively with Software Development and Information Security teams to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the systems
  • Implement and maintain a robust CI/CD pipeline, including automated testing and deployment processes
  • Monitor and optimize system performance, identifying and troubleshooting issues as they arise
  • Set up monitoring and alerting using tools such as Grafana and Prometheus
  • Document the processes and systems implemented
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest DevOps trends and best practices, continuously seeking ways to improve the efficiency and reliability of our systems

Qualifications:

  • 6-10+ years of relevant work experience is preferred
  • Have experience working with cloud computing services solutions, particularly AWS
  • Strong experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Proficiency in one or more scripting languages such as Unix Shell, Go or Python is required
  • Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and Packer
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with a diverse team
  • Knowledge and experience with the Linux OS is required
  • Experience working in Agile environments is required
  • Strong automation and problem-solving skills and the ability to follow through to completion is required
  • Hands-on experience and a good understanding of DevOps tools and automation frameworks is required
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with DevOps techniques building continuous integration solutions using Jenkins, Docker, Git is required
  • Working experience in cloud computing, PaaS, IaaS, and related areas is highly desirable
  • Working knowledge of CI/CD principles
